Mediation: The Modern Means to Tackle Family Crises
The consequences of globalization are felt not only by giant global systems, but also by people in their everyday life: in their private lives, in the changes they observe in their thinking of themselves and in their relations with the others. The consequences of globalization can also be observed in the basic group of our society and that is – in the family. The model of family life undergoes changes along with the other major changes in the society and that creates a wide space for old and new conflicts to appear. Critical situations the modern family often finds itself in require new means of their resolving. One of the more effective methods of tackling family crises, one specifically advisable to those willing to reach agreement before officially going to court, is mediation.
