Tasks and Values of Globalization (with Examples from the Nineteenth Century and Later)
I discuss the obligational and axiological aspects of globalization. Obligation is interpreted as based on values. I do not ask what values should be realized in globalization through conscious and intentional activity, but what values actually come into being in it. The obligation of globalization so interpreted is based on positive values such as tighter relations, diversity, homogenization, universality, progress, novelty, usefulness, efficiency.
