„Ziemia w transie”
Od ponad 15 lat na łamach „K-H-G” prowadzimy rozważania na temat historycznych i współczesnych przemian zachodzących w wymiarze kulturowym, a także społecznym, politycznym czy ekonomicznym. W ramach owych globalnych studiów, tworzonych przez przedstawicielki i przedstawicieli różnych dyscyplin badawczych (między innymi kulturoznawstwa, historii, antropologii kultury, archeologii, pedagogiki, psychologii, filozofii, socjologii, politologii, historii sztuki, filologii, muzykologii) często podejmowaliśmy namysł nad tym, jak opisywane przez nas procesy ukierunkowują świat. Napięcia społeczne w Ameryce Południowej, Brexit, globalna pandemia COVID-19, inwazja wojsk rosyjskich na terytorium Ukrainy i rozszerzanie się NATO oraz skutki gospodarcze wszystkich tych zdarzeń z pewnością istotnie zmieniły rzeczywistość, w której żyjemy. Starczyły trzy lat byśmy odeszli od myślenia o jakichkolwiek stanach równowagi i przewidywalności (o „końcu historii” już nie wspominając). Ziemia wydaje się „trząść” (od hiszp. trance, czyli moment krytyczny, trans). Gdzie jesteśmy? W jakim punkcie się znajdujemy?
Czy to opisywany przez Jurija Łotmana z Ilyą Prigoginem moment bifurkacji, w którym przyszłość pozostaje otwarta i wszystko jest możliwe? Co przyniosło ostatnie trzydzieści kilka miesięcy, co zmieniło i co nas wkrótce może czekać? Do refleksji nad tym zapraszamy naszych stałych, jak też nowych autorów i autorki. Tematowi temu poświęcony będzie najbliższy numer „Kultury-Historii-Globalizacji”.
Tytuły artykułów wraz z abstraktami prosimy nadsyłać do dnia 1 marca 2023 roku, na tekst czekamy zaś do 15 maja 2023 roku. Publikację po recenzjach i składzie przewidujemy około lipca.

Call for Papers for a new issue of Kultura – Historia – Globalizacja / Culture – History – Globalisation (29/2023)
The World in Trance
KHG has explored historical and current transformations in culture, society, politics and economy for more than fifteen years now. As part of this Global Studies research, an interdisciplinary community of scholars affiliated with cultural studies, history, anthropology of culture, archaeology, education, psychology, philosophy, sociology, political science, art, history, language and literature studies, musicology and other fields have often pondered how the processes they investigate give direction to and shape the world. The aggravation of social tensions in South America, Brexit, the COVID-19 pandemic, the Soviet invasion of Ukraine, the enlargement of NATO and the economic fallout from these events have without a doubt fundamentally altered the reality we inhabit. A mere three years on and we no longer consider any states of balance or predictability (let alone ‘the end of history’). Our world seems to be in a paradoxical state of shiver and numbness, locked in the critical moment of extreme suspense, dread and excitement. In a word, it is in trance. Where do we stand today? Where are we now? Is this the point of bifurcation, where, as described by Yurij Lotman and Ilya Prirogin, the future is open-ended and all options are still possible? What has happened in the last thirty-something months, what has changed, and what are we still in for? We invite submissions addressing these issues from our regular contributors and from new authors. These concerns will be explored in the coming issue of Kultura – Historia – Globalizacja.
The deadline for paper titles and abstracts is 1 March 2023, and the completed texts must be submitted by 15 May 2023. Following the review and editing process, the issue is scheduled to be published in July.
