We Cannot Waste The Crisis: Critical Situations and the Growing Role of Public Institutions
The growth of the public institutions in the twentieth century was discontinuous; in order to understand its dynamic, the hypothesis of the growing role of the state authority in the situation of crisis is helpful. This hypothesis allows one to understand the genesis and evolution of some of the international organizations in the twentieth century. The reactions of the governments to the crises attest to the proliferation of various interventionist ideologies and the crisis itself becomes the reason and justification of the growing role of public institutions.
