Abstrakt
Autorka zajmuje się w swoim artykule relacjami między wojną a teatrem i wzajemnym przenikaniem się taktyk i strategii obu tych dziedzin ludzkiej aktywności. Wychodząc od starożytnej dramaturgii i poglądów na tragedię Friedricha Nietzschego przedstawia proces sublimowania przemocy przy użyciu przedstawień teatralnych. W dalszej części przechodzi do prezentacji jak myślenie teatralne wpłynąło na największą operację mistyfikacyjną w czasie II Wojny Światowej – Operację Bodyguard.

War in the theater – theater of war. From an ambush to a performance
Abstract
In her article, the author deals with the relationship between war and theater and the mutual interpenetration of tactics and strategies of both these fields of human activity. Starting from the ancient dramaturgy and views on tragedy by Friedrich Nietzsche, she presents the process of sublimating violence using theatrical performances. Next, she goes on to present how theatrical thinking influenced the largest deception operation during World War II – Operation Bodyguard.
