Art Experience Globalization
The aim of this paper is to outline the problematics of aesthetic experience in a global culture and to discuss the role of curators, whose task is to mediate between the local and the global; the individuality of the artist and the perspective of the viewer. Basing on two examples of successful curator activities (the Barnes Museum in Philadelphia and project “Street” by Nares) I want to argue that although the globalization of culture does not lead to the unification of experiences, there exists a possibility of creating a space which will enable their communication.
