The Challenge of National Identity in the Modern Crisis of Ukrainian Statehood
The article discusses Ukrainian national identity and the challenge it faces as the country undergoes the process of European integration. Recognizing Ukraine as an integral part of modern Europe and as an arena of the processes of eurointegration requires an analysis of this integration in terms of the question of national identity. Building a society based on European patterns can only proceed when Ukrainian mentality, forms of social life and governance are taken into consideration.
