Abstrakt
Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie kultury z mniej popularnej perspektywy, a mianowicie jako środka do osiągania dystansu wobec świata i co za tym idzie, także szeroko rozumianej codzienności. Jedna z najsłynniejszych interpretacji myśli Hansa Blumenberga – autorstwa Odo Marquarda – głosi, że autor Paradygmatów dla metaforologii rozumiał kulturę jako odciążenie od „nieznośnego” dla człowieka absolutyzmu rzeczywistości. W niniejszym artykule teza ta zostanie rozwinięta o Blumenbergowską krytykę teorii Lebensweltu Edmunda Husserla i jego opis człowieka, pokazując przy tym, że współcześnie w wyniku rozwoju nowych technologii i postępującej globalizacji świat życia codziennego jest bliższy Husserlowskiemu rozumieniu świata życia jako całości. Doświadczanie tego świata z kolei przypomina to, co Blumenberg opisywał pod pojęciem absolutyzmu rzeczywistości.

The Unbearable Heaviness of the Absolutism of Reality: Culture as a Form of Distance
from Everyday Life
Abstract
The article aims to discuss culture from a less popular perspective, that is, as a way to achieve
distance from the world and, by extension, also from everyday life. In one of the most famous
interpretations of Hans Blumenberg’s thought, Odo Marquard states that Blumenberg understood culture as a “relief” from the absolutism of reality, which is “unbearable” to human beings. In the article, I develop on this idea by drawing on Blumenberg’s notion of the human being and his critique of Edmund Husserl’s theory of Lebenswelt. In doing so, I show that, as a result of the development of new technologies and increasing globalization, everyday life is closer today to Husserl’s understanding of the lifeworld as a whole, and that the human experience of this world is reminiscent of what Blumenberg described as the “absolutism of reality”.
