The Question of the Beginnings of Globalization
Many authors presents different theories of the beginnings of globalization. It is said that globalization began fifty, five hundred, five thousand years ago or even earlier. But there are also different theories of the nature of globalization, its reasons and consequences. In my article I argue that it is better to speak of specific global processes than to use the notion of globalization to label each of them. These global processes are diverse yet they are interrelated in a play between the past and the present.
