Between materiality and mirage. Non-human Amereida archives
By asking about the materiality of the Chilean Open City, the author shows its complex, problematic ontology. Open City, its founders, creators of Amereida, described the status of “mirage”, “no-place”. Although it exists, it is not a philosophical construct (it differs from utopia that cannot be realized in an imperfect world) and is a city that gives less than expected from the physical reality of the world. The author asks questions about the relationship of the city in “pure form” with the world of various materials (sand, light, ocean, wood, brick, etc.). In the case of the South American phenomenon, materiality turns out to be a tool of subversive resistance to a well-established vision of cultural, social and capitalist order.

Między materialnością a mirażem. Nie-ludzkie archiwa Amereidy
Autorka przez pytanie o materialność chilijskiego Miasta Otwartego pokazuje jego złożoną, problematyczną ontologię. Miasto Otwarte jego fundatorzy, twórcy Amereidy, określali statusem „mirażu”, „bez-miejsca”(sin-lugar). Choć istnieje ono prawdziwie, nie jest filozoficznym konstruktem (tym różni się od utopii, która nie może być zrealizowana w niedoskonałym świecie) jest miastem dającym mniej niż oczekuje się od fizycznej rzeczywistości świata. Autorka zadaje pytania o związki miasta w „czystej formie” ze światem różnorodnych materiałów (piasku, światła, oceanu, drewna, cegły etc.). Materialność okazuje się w przypadku południowoamerykańskiego fenomenu narzędziem subwersywnego oporu wobec ugruntowanej wizji porządku kulturowego, społecznego i kapitalistycznego.
