Non-anthropocentric humanism
In the article I analyze some aspects of the rela-tionship between humanism and anthropocentrism. First, I sketch a few 20th-century and recent positions that are critical of anthropocentric humanism, and then formulate my own — descriptive and normative – proposal of non-anthropocentric humanism. Non-anthropocentric humanism means an attitude in which, on the one hand, a special, unique, as irreplaceable position of a man is recognized, on the other, this attitude is not “centrically” treated.

Humanizm nieantropocentryczny
W artykule analizuję niektóre aspekty stosunku między humanizmem i antropocentryzmem. Najpierw szkicuję kilka dwudziestowiecznych i najnowszych stanowisk, które są krytyczne wobec humanizmu antropocentrycznego, a następnie formułuję własną — deskryptywną i normatywną — propozycję humanizmu nieantropocentrycznego. Humanizm nieantropocentryczny oznacza postawę, w której z jednej strony uznaje się szczególną, wyjątkową i niepowtarzalną, niczym niezastępowalną pozycję człowieka, z drugiej zaś — nie traktuje się tej postawy „centrycznie”.
