The Initiative of the New Silk Road: The Opportunity for the Development of Transport Infrastructure with a Focus on Railways
The objective of the new Chinese initiative, referred to as “One Belt, One Road”, is to tighten contacts between China and the rest of the world. The global character of this endeavor renders Chinese economy more connected with the economies of other regions. The paper points out at the necessity to build and modernize the global transportation network.
