Faces of Ethnicity in the Time of Globalization
The aim of this paper is to analyze the functioning of the notion of ethnicity, beginning from the critical examinations carried out by the postcolonial scholars, to its new significance, rendered to the term by the present time. The comparative analysis focuses on the texts concerning the artistic world and its unstable borders which mirror specific socio-political hierarchies. The article concludes with a suggestion that in the time of globalization, we can observe the return tothe same exact understanding of ethnicity that postcolonial criticism has been trying to oppose.
