About The World in Different Languages: Then and Now
The aim of this paper is to analyze the meaning of words which in different languages stand for Polish “world”. The meaning of the words and their etymology is compared in specific contexts. This leads to the demonstration of intercultural differences, similarities, and connections. The article concludes with a following question: do these words refer to the same world, or maybe the worlds which they describe are themselves different.
