“We is looking globally”. The Use of locality, globality and universality in cultural studies on Internet
The aim of this paper is to operationalize the notion of locality in the context of culturally oriented studies on the Internet. The author analyzes its relations with the categories of globality, universality and cybercolonization on the examples taken from the practice of intercultural transmission of the products of netlore. In conclusion, it is claimed that, considering the need to describe the most actual forms of CMC, the most adequate term steming from global studies is glocalization in its contextual universalism version.
