19th c. Indian Renessaince — between locality and globality

The purpose of this article is to show how in the 19th c. India the ideal of locality was forming in relation to globality in various developmental stages of the Indian Renessaince. The Indian Renessaince was a process largely influenced by the British Raj, but also by phenomena from other parts of the world, such as the struggle for spheres of influence in the Far East between Russia and Japan or the emergence of the Pan-Islamist movement.
