Musicology towards globalization
The presented paper focuses on issues connected with globalization of musical cultures taken into consideration in the musicological literature. Terminology and methodological inspirations are drown by musicologists from anthropology and sociology. They attempt to discover parallels between musical and social processes and to show that results of musical analysis can be useful for general cultural and social theories. The main type of the investigated music is world music and seldom the music of earlier periods.
